Our Mission

We are dedicated to providing a first class service to groups visiting Scotland. We want you to have a great experience of our country – this really matters to us! Our clients receive our personal attention and advice is always given gladly. From your first inquiry right through to each day of the tour itself we are ready to help. We aim to take care of all of your arrangements in Scotland so your tour can be worry-free.

Our People

Scotus Tours is run by Jim and Catherine Wallace. Jim is a minister of the Church of Scotland; Catherine is a deacon and counselor. After sharing a team ministry in the central Scotland town of Falkirk they moved to the United States where Jim was senior pastor of the Setauket Presbyterian Church, Long Island. Catherine served at First Presbyterian Church of Smithtown, NY. After almost 10 years in the US they returned to the land of their birth when Jim was called to St. John’s Kirk of Perth – the church where a sermon from John Knox sparked the Reformation in Scotland.

During his time in New York Jim was asked to lead a group on a tour of Scotland. He enjoyed it so much he wanted to do it again. He began Scotus Tours to provide an authentic, top quality service for our visitors. Jim says, “As a native Scot with experience of ministry on both sides of the Atlantic, I decided I was in a unique position to offer this to churches in the US.” Having run the company in addition to his parish work for a number of years he became its full time director in March 2015. He has a passion for sharing the very best of Scotland with our tour participants. Jim and Catherine enjoy managing tours in person. Carefully chosen professional guides also accompany tours when required.

Group Travel

We provide a full service for groups visiting Scotland. We attend to all of the details so you can sit back and enjoy the tour. We can do this whether you wish to bring your own group or join with an open tour.

Your Own Group Tour

At Scotus we specialize in serving churches from the United States and Canada. Our experience puts us in a unique position to assist . We can also help with tours for other groups from anywhere in the world. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you think you might like to lead a group. We can advise you from the earliest stages of planning. A tour can be designed to meet the particular needs of your party. We can also suggest itineraries which we know work well. Open Tours

Why not join one of our open tours? These are arranged so that individuals, couples or small groups can have the same opportunities as larger parties. Travel in safety and comfort. Let someone else drive on the left! Enjoy the benefits of traveling this way and allow us to take good care of you. You will have the services of our tour manager throughout.

Pricing on the website and in our brochures is normally in US Dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices can be quoted in other currencies on request.
